The lawsuit alleges that Broward Health was negligent in failing to protect the highly sensitive medical and treatment information for millions of patients and breached its contractual promise to “maintain the privacy of [patients’] Protected Health Information.”

Stueve Siegel Hanson filed the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The lawsuit asserts claims for negligence, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and breach of confidence and seeks damages and injunctive relief resulting from the breach.
