Stueve Siegel Hanson’s Austin Moore Named Among Law360’s “Rising Stars”
Law360 announced today that Austin Moore has been selected as one of its Cybersecurity and Privacy Rising Stars for 2019. The Rising Star awards recognize the top legal talent under 40 “practicing at a level usually seen from veteran attorneys” and "whose legal accomplishments transcend their age." Moore was profiled by the publication in October 2019, which is available here. Out of 175 attorneys, Moore is the only honoree from Kansas City and the only attorney selected from a plaintiff-side law firm in his respective practice area.
Moore is recognized for his accomplishments in cybersecurity and privacy law. He is an integral member of the Stueve Siegel Hanson’s industry-leading data breach and cybersecurity litigation practice, which has prosecuted cases involving the largest data breaches in U.S. history, securing billions of dollars for affected consumers.
His recent accomplishments include helping achieve preliminary approval of the historic Equifax data breach settlement valued at over $1.5 billion stemming from Equifax’s massive 2017 breach that exposed personal information of over 147 million consumers.
He also played a key role obtaining a $3.25 million settlement on behalf of more than 61,000 eye doctors against the National Board of Examiners in Optometry relating to a 2016 data breach affecting the optometry community.
