Overview
Ross Merrill advocates for companies and individuals in a variety of complex litigation matters, including commercial disputes and consumer class actions. He applies his litigation experience and educational background in behavioral economics to build compelling arguments that resonate with the audience whether it’s a jury or judge.
Before joining the firm, Ross spent five years as a general liability litigation associate at an international AmLaw 100 firm, focusing on product liability defense. While there he acquired valuable knowledge of defense firms’ playbook – insight that he now uses to drive litigation strategy from a plaintiffs’ point of view.
Now at Stueve Siegel Hanson, Ross finds fulfillment helping plaintiffs through the litigation process in pursuit of relief from unfair business practices, data breaches, and defective products. He is adept at understanding the key issues in a case and works to ensure that his clients’ stories are heard and to secure a fair resolution.
During law school Ross was a summer clerk in the 16th Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri, Jackson County, and an extern in the appellate division of the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri.
