Stueve Siegel Hanson Files Lawsuit Against Edward Jones, Investigating Other Financial Advising Firms
Stueve Siegel Hanson and HF Law Firm have filed a class and collective action lawsuit against Edward Jones based on Edward Jones’ centralized, company-wide policy and practice of delegating critical compensation decisions to senior white male Financial Advisors. The known consequence of this practice is that female, non-white, and other diverse Financial Advisors are denied equal access to company clients and refused a fair opportunity for growth and advancement. As a result, female and diverse Financial Advisors at Edward Jones are paid less than non-diverse and/or male Financial Advisors.
The lawsuit seeks to remedy past discrimination and to bring about real and decisive change in the future. The full complaint is available here.
Stueve Siegel Hanson is also actively investigating similar practices at Charles Schwab, LPL, Raymond James, Ameriprise, and other financial advising firms.
