Travel Nurses: Aya Healthcare Lawsuit for Bait-and-Switch Pay Practices

09.15.2022

On August 4, 2022, Stueve Siegel Hanson filed a class action lawsuit against Aya Healthcare on behalf of travel nurses who were subjected to “take-it-or-leave-it” pay reductions in the middle of their contracts.

If you were employed by Aya, had your pay reduced in the middle of your assignment, and would like to join the case, please complete a form here or contact healthcare@stuevesiegel.com.

The lawsuit alleges that hundreds if not thousands of nurses employed by Aya across the country have reported experiencing mid-contract pay reductions after starting an assignment with Aya. In fact, Aya’s “bait-and-switch” practices are so widespread that it appears to be a core tenet of the company’s business model.

The lawsuit also asserts that Aya failed to properly pay travel employees for overtime hours worked by miscalculating their regular rate of pay.

Stueve Siegel Hanson represents healthcare workers in a variety of areas, including pay discrimination, failure to compensate for all hours worked, and sexual harassment and abuse at the workplace.
