04.20.2015
The April 2015 edition of Trial Magazine published by the American Association for Justice (AAJ) features an article authored by Stueve Siegel Hanson attorneys Norman Siegel, Barrett Vahle and Austin Moore examining the emerging area of data breach litigation. The article, "Securing Data-Breach Claims," discusses evaluating plaintiffs and potential claims in this rapidly-evolving area of consumer class actions. Norman Siegel currently serves on the consumer plaintiffs’ steering committee in the Target data breach litigation, and Norman Siegel and Barrett Vahle were recently appointed as co-lead counsel in the Home Depot data breach litigation. The authors are also currently representing consumers in multi-district litigation against healthcare company Anthem, Inc. after a data breach exposed the customer records, Social Security numbers, e-mail addresses and other personal information of approximately 80 million individuals nationwide.
