SSH Honored Among 2022 Top Verdicts & Settlements Winners by Missouri Lawyers Media

Missouri Lawyers Media today announced its 2022 Top Verdicts & Settlement winners, with three Stueve Siegel Hanson cases earning recognition. According to the publication, the annual list ranks the largest verdicts, settlements, judgments, and arbitration awards from around the state and beyond. Attorneys in the winning cases will be honored at the 2023 Missouri Lawyers Awards on Thursday, February 9 at the Missouri Athletic Club St. Louis. Stueve Siegel Hanson secured a Top Plaintiffs' Verdict and two Top Settlements rankings, listed below. 

No. 4, Top Plaintiffs' Verdicts

  • Karr v. Kansas City Life Insurance Company | $28.36 million | "A Jackson County jury found that a life insurance company had overcharged thousands of Missouri who had flexible premium adjustable life insurance policies. Patrick Stueve, Ethan Lange, Lindsay Todd Perkins, David Hickey and Ben Stueve, Stueve Siegel Hanson, Kansas City; John J. Schirger, Matthew Lytle and Joseph M. Feierabend, Miller Schirger, Kansas City."

No. 3, Top Settlements

  • Jackson County v. Trinity Industries Inc. | $56 million | "A class-action settlement in Jackson County will help state and local agencies recover the costs of replacing faulty roadway safety equipment. Patrick Stueve, Bradley Wilders and Alex Ricke, Stueve Siegel Hanson, Kansas City; John Schirger, Joseph Feierabend and Matt Lytle, Miller Schirger, Kansas City."

No. 4, Top Settlements

  • Bishop v. DeLaval Inc. | $55 million | "A federal judge approved a class-action settlement with a company alleged to have sold defective robotic milking machines. Patrick Stueve, Bradley Wilders, Jillian Dent and K. Ross Merrill, Stueve Siegel Hanson, Kansas City."
