08.15.2016

Missouri Lawyers Weekly selected J. Austin Moore as one of its “Up and Coming” Lawyers for 2016. Each year, the statewide legal publication selects attorneys who demonstrate excellence and their potential to make a difference in the legal profession and their communities. The award focuses on lawyers who are 40 or younger or who are within their first ten years of practice. Austin, and other recipients, will be honored at an awards luncheon October 7, 2016 at the Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis.

Austin represents consumers in large-scale cases involving unfair and deceptive business practices and has been at the forefront of prosecuting consumer class action claims in the emerging areas of data breach and privacy litigation. He also represents small and large companies in high-stakes business disputes. Austin practices in state and federal courts across the country and was recognized by Super Lawyers as a 2015 Missouri & Kansas “Rising Star” in class action litigation.

Austin earned his J.D. from the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis where he was an editor and published member of the Washington University Journal of Law & Policy, and the 2011 recipient of the Mary Collier Hitchcock Prize, awarded to one student annual for outstanding legal writing. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Mississippi, where he graduated summa cum laude.
