Hannah T. Sanchez

Attorney

Overview

Hannah Sanchez litigates high-stakes cases against some of the nation’s largest corporations. As a former corporate defense attorney, Hannah brings valuable insight into the “defense playbook,” which she now leverages to advocate for businesses and individuals in a variety of commercial and class action litigation.

Before joining the firm, Hannah spent nearly five years as an associate at Shook, Hardy & Bacon, where she defended manufacturers and other companies against complex product liability actions in state and federal courts across the country. In doing so, Hannah gained experience in all stages of litigation. Hannah is adept at managing discovery; she has coordinated large-scale document productions and handled depositions, including deposing state department officials in an Attorney General action brought against a key firm client.

Hannah also served on ten trial teams for multi-week, high-stakes jury trials on behalf of institutional firm clients. At trial, Hannah shaped themes and legal defenses, prepared witness examinations and opening and closing statements, and managed team collaboration and ongoing client communication. In conjunction with her trial work, Hannah sharpened her research and writing skills as she tackled novel and complex legal issues during pretrial briefing and through appeal.

Now at Stueve Siegel Hanson, clients benefit from Hannah’s ability to assess issues from multiple perspectives and communicate the most compelling aspects of their cases at each stage of litigation. Hannah relies on these abilities to secure the best possible result for her clients.

Hannah received her law degree from Notre Dame Law School. For all three years at Notre Dame, Hannah was awarded the J.L. Weigand Trust Scholarship—a trust established to promote excellence in legal education and to encourage the most scholastically qualified students who are long-term Kansas residents to return home to practice law. Hannah remains an active member of the Weigand community; she interviews candidates each year, mentors current scholars, and hosts networking events for alumni. Hannah completed her undergraduate degree at Georgetown University, where she was a member of the university’s cheerleading team and worked for the Office of Nancy Pelosi.
