In March 2026, NYCHHC disclosed that they had suffered a data breach where hackers were able to infiltrate its systems and had access from November 2025 until February 2026. During this period, the threat actor was able to copy and exfiltrate certain files. The information compromised includes: health insurance information; medical information (diagnoses, medications, test results, images, or treatment plans); biometric information (including fingerprints); billing, claims, and payment information; social security numbers, government issued identification numbers; financial account information; online account credentials; and precise geolocation data.
