LexisNexis Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation

LexisNexis is one of the biggest data brokers in the US and works to collect and sell vast amounts of personal information for fraud and risk assessment. On April 1, 2025, LexisNexis discovered that on December 25, 2024, an unauthorized third party acquired certain LNRS data from a third-party platform used for software development. The information included at least: name, contact information, Social Security number, or date of birth.
Although the breach was discovered on April 1st, LexisNexis has just started to provide notice to the victims.
