Quora Data Breach Lawsuit Investigation: 100 Million Impacted

On December 3, 2018, question-and-answer website Quora acknowledged it suffered a data breach compromising the personal information of up to 100 million users. According to a release, Quora stated that for approximately 100 million Quora users, the following information was compromised:

  • Account information including name, email address, and passwords;
  • Public content and actions including questions, answers, comments, upvotes;
  • Non-public content and actions including answer requests, downvotes, and direct messages; and
  • Data imported from linked networks such as Facebook and Google.

Many users did not even know they had a Quora account because they unknowingly linked their Google or Facebook account in order to access a Quora webpage. That linked information has also been compromised, putting users at immediate risk.

Stueve Siegel Hanson is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against Quora. If you were notified that you were subject to Quora breach and are interested in participating in a potential lawsuit, please call 1-888-756-6499 or fill out the form at the right side of this page.
