Attorney

Overview

Stephanie received her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2007. During law school, she served as a Staff Editor of the UMKC Matrimonial Lawyer Law Journal, Executive Vice President of the Intellectual Property Law Society, and was a member of the UMKC School of Law Faculty Appointment Committee. Stephanie received an MBA from Webster University and a bachelor's degree in education from Missouri Western State University.

Stephanie’s practice focuses on electronic discovery.  She counsels attorneys on electronic discovery issues including preservation, collection, search term negotiation, document review, ESI production, eDiscovery software, and forms of production.   She has managed large scale document preservation, custodian interviews, ESI collection, review and production.

Stephanie recently managed the preservation, ESI collection, search term negotiation, large scale review and the production of 1.1 million pages in fast-paced agricultural antitrust litigation.  She coordinated the simultaneous use of two document review platforms for increased accuracy and speed of production.  She has taken a similar role in cases involving mass torts, personal injury, wage and hour law, insurance law, products liability and complex commercial litigation.

In addition to managing the firm’s ESI issues, Stephanie frequently trains attorneys to leverage review software for increased efficiency of review and for advanced searching functionality.  She has experience using Summation, Concordance, Relativity, Kaleidoscope and CasePoint review software.

Stephanie’s participation in vendor selection and management ensures lower costs and vendor accountability.  Prior to starting at Stueve Siegel Hanson, she worked to develop a vendor’s document review department and led document review teams of 40+ attorneys in various cases from initial intake through review, production and creation of privilege logs.  Representative cases involved construction, pharmaceutical issues, trademark infringement, banking, healthcare, mass torts and environmental litigation.

Stephanie stays on the cutting edge of eDiscovery issues by attending The Sedona Conference Institute on eDiscovery and the Legal Tech Trade Show on a regular basis.  In 2012 she participated in the Georgetown School of Law’s eDiscovery Training Academy.
