Stueve Siegel Hanson LLP was the host and proud co-sponsor of a recent fundraiser for DEBATE-Kansas City. The funds raised help provide summer debate camp scholarships, funding for debate tournament travel and assistance in providing debate opportunities to students in Kansas City's public schools.
Since 1998, DEBATE-Kansas City has engaged more than 3,500 middle and high school students in policy debate and student congress competitions. The program's growth, popularity, and reputation are due to the dedication and commitment of its teachers, students, staff, coaches, volunteers, and community partners.
"Stueve Siegel Hanson was pleased to host this fundraiser, a continuation of our long-standing support of DEBATE-Kansas City. DEBATE-Kansas City provides invaluable services to students in the Greater Kansas City area. Recent studies confirm that an intense debate experience greatly increases graduation rates, raises test scores and improves college readiness," commented Rachel Schwartz, partner at Stueve Siegel Hanson and member of DEBATE-Kansas City's Board of Directors.
